...is a local, family owned and operated business Located in Gwinnett, GA.  Paul Clayton, President of Builders Floor Covering, purchased the business from his father-in-law in 2006.  The founder, Charlie Lingerfelt, originally from Dalton, Georgia, came to Atlanta to teach High School, but when people found out that Mr. Lingerfelt was from Dalton (the carpet capital of Georgia), they began asking him to help them get carpet for their homes and businesses.  Mr. Lingerfelt enjoyed his "side business" so much, that in 1970 he left the teaching profession to open his own carpet retail store.

Since Paul has taken over the business, he partnered with one of the largest and most well respected carpet manufacturers in the world, Mohawk, and now Builders Floor Covering is one of only 12 authorized Mohawk Floorscapes Dealers in the state of Georgia.
